Tijuana, Baja California – April 2025 – As part of its ongoing commitment to community support and social responsibility, Seguros Confie, a Tijuana call center division of Confie, the largest independent personal lines agency in the U.S, recently made two impactful donations benefiting both vulnerable people and animals in the region.
The first donation was made to Karu Pet Rescue AC, a nonprofit dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating abandoned animals. Valued at $10,458.30 MXN, the donation included pet food for adult and young dogs and cats, cat litter, Bravecto flea and tick treatments, and essential cleaning supplies, such as pet-safe bleach and white vinegar. The delivery took place at Karu’s temporary home and main collection center, where the team was warmly welcomed by Angelica Gomez, Karu’s representative.
“Abandoned dogs and cats present broad challenges in Mexico,” said Katya Navarrete, Director of Marketing and Communications. “Supporting Karu Pet Rescue reflects the strong commitment of our Confie employees, who are passionate about helping animal welfare causes.”

Seguros Confie employees also made a donation to Casa Puerta de Esperanza, a shelter that is part of the Salvation Army network. With a value of $10,414.86 MXN, this contribution provided sandals, undergarments, and food items to support women and children who have recently been deported and are now rebuilding their lives in Mexico. Ruth Ruiz, Director of Casa Puerta de Esperanza, received the donation and expressed heartfelt gratitude for the support.
“At Seguros Confie, many of our employees have migration stories of their own, making this cause deeply personal to us,” said Javier Rosas, Confie’s Sr. Director of Human Resources in Tijuana. “We want everyone to know that our doors are open to offer employment opportunities and to support those seeking a new beginning.”
These donations were made possible through the efforts of the Social Responsibility Committee and a team of volunteers from various departments, reflecting the spirit of solidarity and service that defines Seguros Confie.
Through these actions, the company reaffirms its belief in building a more compassionate and inclusive community—for people and animals alike.
